Microsoft is working on a fix for HDR color issues on Windows 11, which should be available in the next few weeks. The company has already released a patch for Windows 10, and it’s hoped that the fix will be enough to address some of the issues that users are experiencing. HDR is a technology that helps improve the color accuracy of digital images. It does this by using more accurate colors to create a more realistic picture. Some people have found that HDR can cause some windows11 to look too bright or too dark, and this can make it difficult to see what’s going on in your photos and videos. Microsoft is hoping that the fix will help to address these problems. If you’re still having problems with HDR, then you may want to try updating your computer to Windows 10 version 1809 or later.
There’s a massive list of new stuff coming to Windows 11 in this update, but most of them are all minor bug fixes. The one that will impact the most users is the fix for the HDR issue. The issue primarily caused white colors to display bright yellow or other colors. Because the issue occurred in imaging editing software, this was a considerable problem as color accuracy is essential when working with images.
One of the other fixes includes improved reliability of application installations on ARM64 devices and an issue that causes ARM64 devices to stop responding when they hibernate or wake from hibernation. Basically, if you’re running Windows 11 on an ARM chip, you’ll notice some substantial improvements.
Other fixes include repairing an issue that affected predictive pre-rendering in Microsoft Edge Internet Explorer mode, tweaking a problem that causes the audio service to stop responding on some devices that support hardware-accelerated Bluetooth audio, and plenty of other stuff.
You can read the full patch notes in Microsoft’s blog post if you want to see everything coming to Windows 11 soon. Since this update is in the Release and Beta channels, they’ll make their way to the final Windows 11 build shortly.
