Windows 10 users are reporting that their iCloud videos are corrupt. Some users have found that their videos are freezing or crashing when they try to watch them. Microsoft is aware of the issue and is working to fix it as soon as possible. ..

Apple’s “it just works” mantra applies to both its products and software, but sometimes, it doesn’t quite work. And in the case of the Windows version of iCloud, things seem to be seriously struggling — some people’s videos are being corrupted.

According to a few reports, videos recorded with the iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro and then synced to iCloud for Windows are turning up black with scan lines, effectively being rendered useless. What’s more, some are even reporting seeing strange photos and videos, seemingly belonging to strangers. These strange photos include pictures of other people’s families, soccer games, and more.

It’s not clear if these photos are being pulled from the iCloud accounts of other people — perhaps it could be a bug with the recent rollout of iCloud Shared Photos. Apple has yet to make a public statement about the problem. In the meantime, you should probably look for other ways to transfer your files from your iPhone to your Windows PC.

We’ve reached out to Apple for a statement, and we will update this article when (or if) we get a response.
